For tenant safety, all gas appliances and flues most have a yearly annual gas safety inspection which can only be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Once complete, you’ll be given a Landlord Gas Safety Record / Gas Safety certificate detailing all the checks performed.
By law you’ll need to provide a copy of your gas safety check to your current tenants within 28 days of the gas safety check, or for new tenants, at the very start of the tenancy.
